There are a few reminders that we would appreciate you all read carefully and understand to ensure we continue to have a smooth running and eliminate any potential COVID-19 cases or closures.

Drop off/collection – Please ensure you are following the correct drop off and collection procedures. This means entering as usual through the normal gate and standing behind the lines if there are other parents already there. Before you buzz please use the anti-bac outside the nursery that is provided. Once you have buzzed, please stand back behind the red lines while a member of staff collects your child. We are doing out best to ensure there is limited contact between adults, if you have a child who is struggling with the drop off times, please ensure you are wearing a mask if you know a distance cannot be maintained. When leaving the setting, please exit through the next gate (follow the arrows on the floor) through the drive and a member of staff will open the gate for you. This still applies if no other parents are entering the setting. These procedures are in place to ensure parents/carers are not coming in too close contact with each other or passing each other during drop off and collection times.

Bringing in items form home – As always, the procedures still apply with regards to bringing in food/drink from home. We can not allow children into the setting eating food from home such as biscuits and crisps. All water beakers or bottles that the children bring in must only contain water – no juice or added spices such as turmeric. We currently have a few children with allergies at the setting, so we need to ensure we are containing any possible reactions. With regards to toys and comforters we ask that they be left as home where possible, or if it is a particular item that a child needs for their emotional well-being, please try to provide one for nursery that we can keep here and wash daily. This also includes plastic or wooden toys. Our current Early years guidance has rigorous sterilising procedures for toys within the setting and we are still limited to the resources we can use – wooden toys, soft toys and furnishings are some of the items we are unable to use.

Staff changes – We are sad to inform you all that Satinder and Migkena have left Rising Stars. They will be sadly missed by all staff and children. We are delighted to inform you that we have a new chef, Arzina. Arzina has worked for the Directors for 10 years and the children have been excited to try her new meals. Our student Chloe has now qualified and has joined our team as a permanent member of staff.
